A sneak peek preview at Dress-Up Pups – prepare for the high fashion!

Dress-Up Pups is a Match-3 game that puts you in charge of a luxury fashion agency catering to the most extravagant dog-lovers. Each customer has a unique vision for their pet’s ultimate outfit; help them bring their dreams to life through both classic and chain-style match-3 game play, plus jigsaw puzzle mini-games!

Dress-Up Pups will feature 190 levels of match-3 fun. On the way to your design success you will 10 amazing characters and will create 21 unique outfits for their dogs.

It was a pleasure to work on this game. We put in it all the skills we learned during creation of The Perfect Tree. For the whole time we worked with Pavel Konstantinov from RetroStyleGames – Game Art Outsourcing Studio. The idea behind the game was born in his head and his team created all the art for the game.


The game was initially scheduled to be released on Oct 12th 2010, but since we want to give it a bit of extra polish the release has been moved by a weak. It will be available for both PC Windows and Mac OSX… and hopefully after a while on Linux. Stay tuned.

Adventures, treasures and fashion – new games announced!

These are exciting times here at Anawiki Games. Building on the success of our previous games, we’ve stepped things up a little and have three games in development simultaneously, all slated to be released in the next few months. Our fans will have the opportunity to embark on a globe-trotting treasure hunt, run a pet fashion business, and explore a side of Lewis Carroll’s Alice in Wonderland you’ve never seen before!

If you’re too excited to wait, we’re in need of beta testers. You can help us out and get sneak peek access to the games at the same time, but don’t hesitate, because positions are limited. Apply at http://www.anawiki.com/blog/become-beta-tester/.

In the meantime, here’s what you have to look forward to:

Arizona Rose and the Pirates’ Riddles casts the player in the shoes of the eponymous heroine as she embarks on a quest for buried treasure. This picross game features exciting power-ups, beautiful graphics and hidden object and puzzle mini-games. This October 25th, it’s time to get out your spyglass and eye patch and set sail for adventure with Arizona Rose.

If you prefer high fashion to the high seas, check out Dress-up Pups. This Match-3 game puts you in charge of a luxury fashion agency catering to the most extravagant dog-lovers. Speaking of snazzily-dressed animals, the White Rabbit cordially invites you to take a trip to Wonderland in Grace and the Wonderland Rescue. This platform-puzzle game features a compelling storyline that turns back the hands of the clock to examine the origins of the Wonderland myth. Help Grace, Alice’s nanny, explore Wonderland, solve puzzles, play challenging mini-games… and learn the shocking truth about Wonderland! This November, Alice’s destiny will be revealed.

Shrek Forever…? Better not.

I watched Shrek Forever with my kids yesterday and I have to say I’m disappointed. Not that the kids didn’t like, they did. They’ve been a bit scared, as the movie is quite often dark and lots of ogres and witches doesn’t help. Not that the kids didn’t laugh. They did. It’s that I didn’t laugh quite as often as I hoped. After watching trailers I though that they got smarter after Shrek 3 and Shrek 4 will be again a movie of comedy and action. It wasn’t.

If you have little kids you don’t want to go to cinema to see that changing diapers sucks, just to hear 70 minutes later that your live is great, because you have kids. I know that without watching movies. I know that having kids is wonderful even if they do squeeze every bit of energy from you. The funny thing about Shrek 4 is that he wouldn’t realize it without a day off of family and that us, real parents, most often don’t have the chance to realize that, because we can’t sign “Deal of Life” to get a day off.

We’re finishing the perfect addition to your upcoming Holidays – The Perfect Tree. Please check back Anawiki Games website in a week. As usual, the 60 minutes trial demo will be available for download for both PC Windows and Macintosh. I am very excited to release this seasonal game, as it catches the feeling of winter and Christmas very good, without being too pushy on this, so you won’t get sick of it after seeing a Christmas Tree in every commercial or shop-window.
