Why create something that is not for sale? Seth Godin points out two reasons. I can give you two more. First of all, commercial work can easily burn you out (yep, I am totaly burned out). And being burn out is not good for you. That leads us to another reason – non-commercial work gives you creative freedom. Freedom to do whatever you want, without worrying if it sells. Freedom prevents burning out.
